The 2023 Riesling Bernkasteler Doctor *** (White Capsule) is deep, pure and fresh yet intense and saline on the flinty and bright nose that is coolish rather than warm and tropical. The 2023 Doctor is a pure, refined, enormously vital, finely tannic, very intense, concentrated and powerful yet also very elegant and aromatic Riesling whose best times are still far ahead. This 2023 is dry and refined but also so rich that it tastes potent, muscular and drying at first but soon reveals its endless salinity, precision and terroir expression. This is another icon wine of the vintage from Markus Molitor and one of the finest and most expressive dry German Rieslings of the vintage. This is a giant. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 180 24 in January 2026.
