Lots of fullness and vinosity. Characteristics of figs and raisins predominate then give way to notes of undergrowth.
On the Nose
Intensely floral attack that soon gives way to characteristics of acacia honey and lightly preserved fruits.
The 1985 Harvest
The year 1985 was exceptional in its weather conditions and allowed the grapes to open well and to be picked from September 30 in ideal conditions.
Obviously quite old from the deep gold and the developed, biscuity nose. I thought it was from the 1980s when it was served blind. But it is still quite tangy and tense, managing to combine both richness and acidity. Not voluptuous in any way.
