Piedmont

Piedmont lies in north-west Italy, against the Alps that gave it its name. Nebbiolo is the noblest grape here; the name refers to the mist that hangs over the hills in autumn when the grape is the last to be picked. The vineyards lie on hills where plots differ by slope and exposure — a division reminiscent of Burgundy. From this region we offer wines from Barolo, Barbaresco, Langhe and Montemarzino.
