The wine’s deep, dark ruby-red color is not quite opaque. Concentrated dark fruits on the nose have a licorice-like intensity. The rich, rounded, smooth-textured palate has graphite hints. Alcohol is warming & tight tannins support brooding black-plum fruit. The alcohol closes up the structured finish. Acidity doesn’t seem high, thus the full-bodied mid-palate shows grainy notes, cedar & pepper over tight damson fruit – needs time. (2026)
