The 2011 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Fuesselots has a well-defined nose: autumn bonfire and dried leaves infusing the red berry fruit – tertiary and well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a chalky entry. There is good weight of fruit here, fine tension with a robust, flavor-packed finish with notes of mulberry and raspberry intermingling with minerals that prolong the tail. This is very classy, but one that I would probably prefer to enjoy in its youth.
