Domaine Arlaud is a family-owned Burgundian wine producer located in Morey-Saint-Denis. It is best known for its Pinot Noir. wines, many of which come from four grand cru vineyards: Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Charmes-Chambertin, and Bonnes-Mares.

In 1949, Joseph Arlaud acquired vineyard land as a wedding gift and, over time, was able to extend the land and purchase the estate’s headquarters, a 14th-Century cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges. The family has remained involved since, with Joseph’s son, Hervé, taking over in 1982 and his son, Cyprien, succeeding him in turn in 1997.

Domaine Arlaud owns 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyard land and became the first certified biodynamic estate in Morey-Saint-Denis in 2014. Grapes are picked by hand, sorted twice, and meticulously attended to throughout the winemaking process. The Pinot Noir spends 14-16 months in barrel and the condition of the oak used depends on vintage and appellation. Village appellation wines age in roughly 15 percent new oak whereas grand cru wines age in up to 30 percent new oak.

Domaine Arlaud has an impressive portfolio consisting mainly of Pinot Noir and some Chardonnay, Gamay, and Aligoté. The estate produces eight premier cru wines on top of its four grand cru wines.
