A fantastic Cos d’Estournel, the 1996 is the best wine made at this estate since the exquisite 1990, and it reflects the essence of Cos d’Estournel, together with the 1995. This full-bodied, exceptionally clean wine will enjoy an enormously spectacular future, from its rich black/ruby/purple color to its knock-out bouquet of oriental spices, licorice, tobacco-tinged cassis fruit, and plum-like jam.
