I tasted this wine three times, and while it has remarkable structure and depth of fruit, it is fragmented and has an astringent aftertaste, which is mostly due to the high tannin content. If the tannins soften and the wine fleshes out, it will earn a score in the upper nineties. For the time being, it’s a deep purple-colored Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wine with a medium body and plenty of tannin in the flavor and finish. It is made in a style that will neither enchant or delight you for the next 7-8 years. It should last for at least two decades.
