Giuseppe Quintarelli (1927-2012) was an Italian wine producer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest winemakers in the world. He was born in Negrar, in the Veneto region of Italy, and inherited his family’s vineyards in the Valpolicella region.
Quintarelli’s wines are known for their depth, complexity, and ability to age gracefully. He was a proponent of traditional winemaking techniques, including long macerations, aging in large oak barrels, and bottling without filtration.
Quintarelli produces a number of different wines, including Amarone della Valpolicella, Recioto della Valpolicella, and Valpolicella Superiore. His wines are highly sought after by collectors and wine enthusiasts, and are considered among the finest examples of Italian wine.
After Quintarelli’s death in 2012, his legacy was continued by his wife, children, and grandchildren, who continue to produce exceptional wines under the Quintarelli label.
